...High Wind WARNING remains in effect until 6 PM PST Friday...

A High Wind WARNING remains in effect until 6 PM PST Friday.

South to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 to 60
mph will affect the Reno Carson City area through tonight. Gusts
to 70 mph are possible in wind prone areas.

Winds will further increase early Friday morning to 30 to 40 mph
with gusts up to 65 mph. Damaging gusts to 80 mph are possible in
the foothills and wind prone areas Friday morning through Friday
afternoon. Areas of blowing dust will also cause reduce
visibilities to less than 1 mile at times.

Damage to trees...power lines and property is likely with winds
of this magnitude. Take steps to secure loose items outdoors.
Driving will be dangerous for high profile vehicles...especially
along highways 50...395 and Interstate 80. Use extra caution and
remain alert for sudden gusts or cross winds.
