...High wind watch in effect from late Thursday night through
Friday afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a high wind
watch...which is in effect from late Thursday night through
Friday afternoon.

South to southwest winds will increase across western Nevada
early Friday morning and strengthen throughout the day. Wind gusts
of over 60 mph are possible...with even higher gusts in the
foothills and wind prone areas. Persons with Holiday decorations
still remaining outdoors should tie down or remove items that may
be vulnerable to strong wind gusts.

A high wind watch means there is potential for strong damaging
winds to effect the area which may make travel difficult or
dangrous.
