High Wind Advisory
316 am PDT Mon Mar 26 2007
...Wind Advisory now in effect from 10 am this morning to 7 PM
PDT this evening...
The Wind Advisory is now in effect from 10 am this morning to
7 PM PDT this evening.
Southwest winds will increase this morning with windy conditions
expected through the afternoon. Widespread winds of 15 to 30 mph
and gusts up to 50 mph are expected. Local gusts up to 60 mph are
possible in the more wind prone areas such as Washoe Valley and
foothills. Local areas of blowing dust will develop east of Reno
which will restrict visibility and make driving hazardous. Winds
will switch to the west and decrease this evening behind the cold
front.
A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 45 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution...especially along
Highway 395.
