[CVRC] ARES Meeting - Washoe County

TO ALL WASHOE COUNTY ARES/RACES MEMBERS

     Tomorrow is the Washoe County ARES training meeting, under the
leadership of Bob Miller, WA6MTY.  It is a potluck, to be held at 11am at
the home of Fred Hunt WA6GOG.  One of the things that will be discussed is
getting more help in the way of AEC's to various positions of need.

     Bob and his crew of AEC's work very hard ... and in fact give well more
than they ever get credit for.  This is where you come in.  We need some of
you to step up to the plate and lend a hand.  Some of the positions that
Bob is looking to fill are:  Administration, Logistics, NN Medical
Center, Renown Medical Center, St. Mary's Medical Center and Truckee
Meadows Water.  Each of these positions could be a vital part of the
communications we would like to provide to our community in time of
disaster or emergency.  It is vital that we support our community by being
there when they may need us, and supporting Bob and the current team of
AEC's who work so very hard to make a difference.

     If you would please consider filling a position, please let Bob know
and he can tell you what would be needed of you in order to succeed.  So
please come and bring your ideas to share with Bob and the Washoe County
team.  Bring your appetite, a smile and a willingness to serve - that's all
it takes.  The rest we can provide you with.  Glenn Thomas, WB6W our DEC
and I support Bob and his team one hundred percent and are amazed at the
job they have done.  But there is still a lot more to do and we need YOUR
help to make it happen.  Thanks for your consideration and for your
