High Wind Advisory
428 am PST Tue Jan 2 2007
...High wind watch in effect from Wednesday afternoon through
Thursday morning...
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a high wind
watch...which is in effect from Wednesday afternoon through
Thursday morning.
Gusty winds will develop around midday Wednesday and increase
through the afternoon and evening. Winds of 20 to 40 mph with
gusts up to 65 mph are possible until precipitation moves into the
area Thursday morning. Now is the time to secure or tie down any
items that may be vulnerable to strong wind gusts.
A high wind watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph...or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
