...Cold Pacific storm to affect Holiday travel Sunday and Monday...

A developing storm in the Gulf of Alaska is forecast to bring

possible in the northern and central Sierra above 7000 feet with
several inches of snow forecast in western Nevada valleys by
Monday morning. Much colder air with scattered snow showers are
expected during the day Monday. Strong winds will accompany the
snow Sunday and Sunday night causing considerable blowing and
drifting over the passes.

Person planning travel over the Sierra Sunday should plan to leave
early Sunday to avoid hazardous winter driving conditions. Stay

National Weather Service on this developing winter storm.
