Has it really been 20 years?

Yours truly, although still a California heathen at the time, was
assigned, along with Ken WB6MLC, to cover parts of northern Nevada on
the Armadillo weekends. The team of Kit WA6PWW and Dave N6KL (also
California heathens) also were mobile in northern Nevada. I believe
they did Washoe, Storey, Lyon, Churchill and Pershing counties.
Starting from Carson City, Ken & I covered:

         Carson City (&county)
         Douglas county
Alpine county CA (someone had to do it!)
         Lyon county
         Storey county
         Washoe county
         Humboldt county
         Lander county

We were in part covering for the guy who was in charge of organizing
things. Instead of being out in the wilds of northern Nevada, he was
suffering as part of the then-current DXpedition to Clipperton
Island. As I recall, band conditions were not good. There was some
advantage in that the DXpedition station called me instead of the
other way around!
