High Wind Advisory
218 am PDT Sat Oct 1 2005

...Wind Advisory remains in effect from noon today to 10 PM PDT
this evening...

Southwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected
to develop this morning from the Lake Tahoe area eastward to Highway 95
in Pershing and Churchill counties....where visibilities may be reduced
due to blowing dust and sand. These winds will continue through
the evening hours.

Stronger gusts are possible in the wind prone areas along Highway
395 from Reno to Minden. Wind gusts as high as 80 mph are
expected over ridges in the Lake Tahoe area.

High profile vehicles should use extra caution while traveling
today. Patio furniture and other loose outdoor objects should be
secured from the strong winds. Boating conditions on Lake Tahoe
and Pyramid Lake will be hazardous...mariners are urged to remain
in port.
