[CVRC] Report about Bob Evans, N6YMA, 1/10/05

Hello All,

We called Bob this morning (Monday).  He is at home now, and his cell phone 
number is 775) 450-4543.  Bob is still feeling very weak after his recent 
surgery, and I expect that he is still rather heavily medicated.  Medication is 
putting a strong metallic taste in his mouth that takes away the pleasure of 
eating, and is drying up his mouth making it hard to swallow solid food.  His 
remaining kidney is functioning somewhat, but he needs dialysis three time a week 
(Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).  Bob is definitely not up to travel yet, 
and will not be able to be at the SIERA dinner on the 15th.  

He sees gradual improvement, and when he is able to travel and enjoy it he is 
promised a great lunch with as many good friends as we can fit into a late 
lunch at Adele's.  

At this point he is happy to get calls, and we should probably keep them 
short, and understand if he's sound asleep and not answering the phone, especially 
on dialysis days.
