...Wind Advisory in effect until midnight PST tonight...
The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory...
which is in effect until midnight PST tonight.
Southwest winds will continue to increase this morning with speeds
of 20 to 35 mph expected by noon from Reno south to Hawthorne.
Local gusts to 55 mph are likely in wind prone areas...including
Genoa...the Reno and Carson City foothills...and U.S. 95 along
Walker Lake. The gusty winds will continue through the evening
before subsiding overnight.
A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 45 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for
high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
