Special Weather Statement
431 am PDT Thu Sep 16 2004
...A change in the weather pattern to much cooler weather is in store
for this weekend...
A trough of low pressure currently in the Gulf of Alaska will dig
down the West Coast and move onshore this weekend bringing an abrupt
change to unseasonably cool weather.
Winds will pick up ahead of the trough on Friday and Saturday with
temperatures falling significantly Saturday and Sunday. The trough
could bring some precipitation to the area as early as Friday night
with more widespread rain and upper elevation snow by Saturday night.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or your local media for the latest
on this rapidly changing weather pattern.
