Thanks to everyone who called or sent a note or card! My time in the
hospital was made much more bearable by your wonderful support. Both Merrily
and I really appreciate it!

I'm home now, still in a good bit of pain from the surgery, but I'm up and
about. I have a follow up visit to the cancer clinic on Friday to get the
staples out. The pathology report on the tumor should be back sometime later
this week, but as my surgeon is traveling I probably won't get detailed
information till the following week. The preliminary word, following the
surgery, is that the tumor did not appear to have spread beyond what was
seen in the CT scans, and that they got it all out in the surgery. Unless
the pathology report contains some surprises it appears that I won't need
chemo or radiation - really good news.

We're hoping to get back to the Carson Valley for a visit sometime in the
next month or so - we sure miss all our friends in Nevada!
