[CVRC] Contest/DX Gathering in Truckee

Truckee/North Tahoe hams - once again the Sierra Chapter of the Northern CA  
Contest Club is planning an informal gathering at N6XI. It will be Sunday, 
Aug.  15. Come any time after 10:00. BBQ lunch at Noon. Brief meeting and nifty  
program around 1:30. Speaker will be Bruce Sawyer N6NT with a great slide show 
 and talk about building ZF2NT - the house, not just the ham station. Bruce 
did  this essentially single-handed as there is no labor available on Little 
Cayman  Island. It's an amazing tale.

Bring a salad or side dish to share. I'll  provide stuff like burgers,
dawgs and chicken for the BBQ.

Feel free  to forward this to other local hams. Those of you who are NCCC 
members have  probably seen this already, but you may be able to provide more 
local area  addresses. Tom, feel free to invite western NV hams who might be  
interested.
