High Wind Advisory
155 PM PDT Tue Apr 20 2004

...Wind Advisory in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening...

A strong jet stream and drying airmass is causing strong winds at the
surface over a large part of western Nevada and the eastern Sierra.
Wind gusts are frequently 45 and 50 mph and occasionally gusting to
60 mph in some wind prone areas. These winds are likely to continue
into the evening hours. In areas near Lovelock and Fallon blowing
dust and sand will reduce visibilities to near zero at times.

A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds are forecast to be 31
to 39 mph or gusts will range between 46 and 57 mph. Winds of these
magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra precautions.
Motorists in high profile vehicles should use caution until the winds
subside.
