As a reminder, we will be conducting the monthly check of the equipment at
the Red Cross station this Thursday evening, March 20. We will open the
station at approximately 6 P.M. and be there until after the NNARS net,
approximately 8 P.M.

The new HF radio is in place, so this will be an opportunity for all to
learn its operation. We also have in hand the tubes donated by D. and Roy
Brite, KB7JZN and KC7QVO, to replace the bad finals in the old TS-520. So,
as an added attraction, we will be installing these tubes in that radio and
Gary, K7VY, will be demonstrating the procedure for neutralizing the FA
section following the installation of new tubes.

Not only will this be an opportunity to meet and get experience in
operating the equipment at this station, but it will be a good opportunity
as well for those interested in learning about tinkering with radios.

Anyone interested is welcome to join us Thursday evening. The Chapter House
is located at 1190 Corporate Boulevard in Reno. For directions you may
contact me by e-mail, on the 146.61 repeater system, or by telephone at
425-6102.
