Good Evening All -
Some updates were made today to the web pages containing the details of the
upcoming communications/emergency readiness exercise and competition. As a
reminder, the exercise will take place on Wednesday, March 12. Start time
for stations participating in Phase I of the exercise will be approximately
1845 - 1900 hours local time. Details regarding mobilization of those
participating in Phase II of the exercise will be announced later to those
stations who have confirmed their participation in this phase.
Largest item of interest is that the checklists of items recommended for
short and long term deployment readiness kits are now up. For those
planning to go for the points awarded for assembling a "ready-kit," consult
the web site to see what your kits should contain.
Updates to the pages will be made regularly as the exercise approaches and
will be announced here on e-mail as well.
As a reminder, this exercise has been designed to give all NNARS EMCOMM
stations an opportunity to practice their communications skills on the air
as well as to have their response readiness evaluated. All available
operators are encouraged to participate.
Further details regarding participation in the exercise and operational
directions can be viewed at http://www.qsl.net/nnars/wcaresdrill0203.html
