Good Morning,

The training scheduled for operators wishing to receive instruction on
operation of the equipment at station WX7RNO (National Weather Service
Office, Reno) has been moved back one day to Monday, June 23. The time
remains the same - 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. This is to avoid conflict with
the WADG meeting occurring on Tuesday the 24th at 6:30 P.M. in Reno.

The date and time for the ARES/SKYWARN communications exercise this month
remains unchanged - Wednesday, June 25, 6:30 P.M. This exercise will take
place on the 146.61 repeater and will take the place of the regular Reno
Area SKYWARN Net for that Wednesday evening. After the 25th, the weekly
Reno Area SKYWARN Net will be held each week on the 146.61 repeater,
allowing SKYWARN stations outside the immediate Reno/Sparks area to
participate. Until the frequency change is made, SKYWARN operators outside
the Reno/Sparks area who are able to do so are invited to join me in
conference each Wednesday at 1900 hours local via packet by connecting to
the RNO node, then entering talk. Relays from your local area will be
accepted. Upon changing repeaters at the end of June, the net time will
also be moved up to alleviate some other time conflicts. Currently under
consideration is starting the net at 1845 hours local. If anyone has any
input regarding the net time, please let me know.

73,
Matt
