[CVRC] Tower / support suggestions?

I have an APRS / Igate setup that is running 'on the ground' south of 
Gardnerville (144.39). Well, almost on the ground. The Jpole I am using 
is clamped to a sawhorse, ready to be hoisted into the air. The only 
idea so far has been to attach it to the house, which would get it 35 
feet up, but would also make a fine lightning rod. Has anybody had any 
experience with any of the tilt-up build-it-yourself projects, or other 
non-guyed (or few guyed) options to support a single (or maybe two) VHF 
antennas?

Somehow I lost the discussion thread of the tower regs for Douglas 
County in my not-so-effective reorg of my email folders. Can someone 
repost the final results, or send me a link to a site that contains the 
reg? I would like to put up the maximum non-contentious height.
