High Wind Advisory
500 am PST Sat Dec 14 2002

...High Wind Warning today and tonight...

A strong winter storm was covering a large part of the west
including western Nevada and the northern Sierra.  This storm is
expected to cause very strong winds over the area today and
tonight.  South and southwest winds of 40 to 60 mph are likely and
gusts along the ridges may exceed 80 mph.  Damange to trees...power
lines and fences is possible with these very windy conditions.

Travel in high profile vehicles and other wind sensitive activities
will become difficult in northeast California today and tonight.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio and other local media outlets for
further statements from the National Weather Service.
