Just spoke with Cathe & she stated the  following: 
They have removed the ventilator & he’s breathing on  his own, even 
coughing some. He’s still “doped up” so she doesn’t know if he  can speak or has 
recognition of who she is yet as he’s still under a lot of  medication, but 
she’s hoping for that in the near future. She’s very  optimistic. 
She asked that I pass on to all of you how much she  appreciates your 
thoughts & prayers during John’s illness & to thank  you all from the bottom of 
her heart & God bless you all. 
If you see anyone I missed on this message, please let them  know what’s 
going on.
