Subject: [DX-NEWS] changes for HS in the works
Jumping the gun a little bit, I have learned that a plan to add to HS
(Thailand) ham operating is in the works. Please stand by for the official
announcement that may come in a month or two from RAST (the national
club)... Actual implimentation date is yet to be announced.
1. Opening low end of 80 meters for all HF HS stations all the time, and
not just during some contests.... something like 3.5 to 3.540.... definitely
for CW (maybe also voice).
2, Increase in output power limits for top grade HS ops above the current
200 watt limit.
3. Approval for all top grade HS ops to use all of the current 3 WARC bands
at any time.
There is also the implication of conforming with existing sub-band band
plans.
Good news for all us HS ops..... 73,
Charles Harpole HS0ZCW
