ChoosingYour First HF AntennaMany hams with HF privileges, and that includes all licensedamateurs, have trouble being able to get started on HF because they don’t knowwhat kind of antenna to start with.This talk will introduce attendees to some basic inexpensiveantennas that you can easily build, or buy for reasonable amounts of money. Thediscussion will make minimal use of technical jargon or electronic principles –but rather focus on what you can expect from the various types of antennas.The talk will wrap up with a description of each of theantennas selected for use at the upcoming GFARA Field Day in June. These areexamples of antennas that you could also build.
