[CTSARA] SARA Meeting Thurs Oct 6

Our next SARA meeting will take place on Thursday Oct 6, 8pm, Stamford
Government Center (888 Washington Blvd in Stamford) in the 6th Floor Safety
Training Room.

The topic of discussion will be a very timely one - an update on backup
power for the home, including the latest in generator offerings and battery
offerings that can keep a house going after a major power failure.

Why timely?  Because there is a hurricane (Mathew) churning through the
Caribbean, and most of the models are predicting that it will hang a right
and head up the East Coast of the U.S., with the potential to reach us over
the Labor Day weekend with at least tropical storm-level winds.  Wouldn't
that be fun.

And let's not forget that the worst power failures are usually winter
failures caused by icing - and guess what we may get a lot of this winter.
