GFARA Monday October 3rd meeting Fairfield Police Station 2nd floor
Guest speaker this month will be Steve Ford WB8IMY Editor of QST Magazine and Host of the Doctors in Podcast featuring Joel Hallas. Steve will discuss digital modes JT65 and JT9. Both have become very popular digital modes  that operate as weak signal low power modes. These modes allow hams to communicate globally with just a few watts and mediocre antennas. This is an excellent opportunity learn more about these modes from the QST editor an experienced user himself. Steve has also been invited to present the same topics as a featured speaker at the Nutmeg Hamfest. We are pleased that he agreed to speak to our local clubs.
There will be coffee and nibbles available from 7:00p to 7:30pm so come early and socialize a bit before the meeting. The meeting will start at 7:30pm.
