The net is back on this week.

We are going to run an exercise to give people experience passing information between locations during an event.

The event will be that a town had a large snow storm, and the shelter is open due to power outages. This is the second night of shelter operations. There will be ham/cert personnel at the shelter, the town emergency operations center (EOC) and at a Salvation Army kitchen where food is being prepared.

Jon (WB2RYV) and I have written a script for each location. However each location does not know what the other has. So there will be a couple of things that might be unexpected.

We have three volunteers so far. At the EOC will be Dave, N1TJG. Brian, KC1BAT, will be at the shelter and Marilyn, KB1YYO, will be at the salvation army. I will be running the simulation.

I would like to have a few backup operators, in case one of the above has a last minute schedule change. If you would like to participate, please email me, and I will send you a script for one of the roles. Thanks.

The net format this week:
8:00 pm checkins, then run the exercise, and then discussion.

It is a simple exercise, which we hope to build on for the future, including doing them on site, not just from our homes.
