This should show you why I call BS when I hear and see training like this. The statements in this post support what in am saying. 
But those "running things" are afraid that somebody has better ideas and might impede on their position even if that's not the end goal. 
I have no interest in running anything. But, I can show you were you need to be. Obviously this is a threat to some. So they ignore my offers to help. Ignore discussion off thread. They just ignore. And bend the ears of those whose heart is in the right place and don't know differently. 
I have tried the softer gentler position of backdoor channels. But, now you can see why I openly call it what it is. They don't want to hear it. 
I have a long time till I retire. Until then I will cont. to call BS.
