Then why do we use the repeaters for SET exercises? We are simply trying to get new hams that are CERT members used to talking on their rigs in a directed net fashion. That is all. I suggest you contact the original author of the post off of this list directly.

The irony of using repeaters to get used to what you need to do when you get activated is that you don't know what to do or have what you need to do what you hope to be asked to do.
Training should always be worst case scenario so that it can only get better.
