*I inadvertently missed thanking Toy Alladin and the team from **the
Greater Norwalk Amateur Radio Association www.gnarc.org who along with the
Stamford Amateur Radio Association helped with our HAM Radio communications
and safety team support! Thank you so much to both these organizations for
keeping our riders safe and well informed.*

*Good Morning CF Cycle for Life Participants,*
* *
*I hope you have all had a few days to recoup after Sunday’s event! We were
fortunate to have beautiful weather, an amazing turn-out and huge
fundraising success for CF! I wanted to start off by thanking all of you
for your hard work, dedication, fundraising and participation in Sunday’s
ride. I know it takes a lot of training and preparation to make something
like that happen. You all worked so hard to hit your fundraising minimums
or greatly exceed them and THIS is what helps make our events not only hit
its goal but to grow each year. We are SO excited to announce that we are
surpassing our goal of $35k and should hit $40k by the time all of the
fundraising totals are in. This has nearly doubled since last year! AMAZING
job everyone.*
* *
*As a reminder you have until November 16th to have in your $150 minimum so
please either make your payments online or call our office to make a payment
over the phone. You can continue making donations after this date but you
MUST at least have your minimums in. I will also be putting together an
online photo album with all of our event photographers images as well as any
volunteers who have shared pictures with me. So if you have any good ones
from the event send them over so I can include in the album! I will have a
link for this by next week.*
* *
*There are a few event partners I would like to acknowledge which helped
make our event run smooth, safely and successfully:*
* *
** Jon Perelstein and his team at Stamford Amateur Radio Association who
assisted in our HAM radio communication and overall safety needs at the
event. They were an amazing group of volunteers who gave their time,
energy, gas $ and expertise in ensuring a safe and enjoyable ride for our
participants. Please visit their website to learn more:

* *
** John Dugdale & Irwin Weisbrot: John designs our entire route and does a
tremendous job at that! They both spend hours not only putting all of the
very well marked route signs out on the course, but they take them all down
the next day! A HUGE thank you to the both of them, for without their help
this event would not happen.*
* *
** All of our ride Marshalls who came out to keep our riders safe and at
ease. Many were located at crucial points along the route and others kept a
close eye on both the short and long route. Thank you to these wonderful
volunteers who helped make our ride a success!*
* *
** Our event volunteers did an amazing job setting up the event, running our
rest stops, helping throughout the entire day and breaking down the event.*
* *
** Rocco and his team at Excite DJ donated their time and expertise in
helping make our event fun and lively even at the early morning hours we had
to be there **J***
* *
** Bean Corcoran, a CF mom and our Board President who helped get all of our
day-of food and snacks! Thanks so much Bean, it is greatly appreciated.*
* *
*Thank you all again so very much! We hope to see you at next year’s ride
and continue growing it for years to come.*
