This Saturday is the Boy Scouts annual "Jamboree-On-The-Air (JOTA) event.
CT ARES - Region 2 will be sponsoring an Amateur Radio Station at the
Wepawaug Valley District’s Camporee held at Eisenhower Park in
Milford.
- It just so happens that the theme for this Camporee is “Emergency
Preparedness”.
JOTA is a spectacular opportunity to introduce Scouts to amateur radio.
- For many, this will be their first exposure to the world of ham radio.
- Some will go on to become hams, enjoying the hobby for a lifetime.
- A few will even find it to be the basis of a career in science and technology.
CQ JOTA !
If you are able, please listen in on the frequencies below, and help
give these Scouts their first radio contact.
