If anyone is available Sat morning, Danbury and Newtown want to run an NVIS
test on 75 and on 40.  They don't necessarily need you have your own NVIS
antenna -- they just need you to listen for them.

A few of us will be busy at the Norwalk race (I'm assuming it's still on)
but if anyone else can listen -- PLEASE!!!

 FELLOW ARES MEMBERS -

The Danbry and Newtown CT Emergency Operations Centers need your HELP.

On this Saturday August 27 at 9am (local time), these EOCs will conduct a
short exercise to test the effectiveness
of a field deployable NVIS antenna system.  Timing of this Drill may turn
out to be "critical".

We need our fellow ARES members to *forward, tweet, blog and and talk up* on
local repeaters the following
times and frequencies to see how many stations we can log in a two hour
interval using 4 HF stations setup
within our ARES Region.  The info will be used (and published) to gauge the
effectiveness of this antenna type.

 Frequencies/callsigns:
 3900 KHz +/-  and  7250 KHz +/-  *using callsign kx1dxr*
* *3950 KHz +/-  and  7275 KHz +/-  *using callsign kb1ovq OR callsign
kx1eoc*
 Saturday August 27 between 9am and 11am local time
