[CTSARA] Fwd: Be Prepared Stamford Hurricane Irene

The Stamford repeater is located at the Sterling Farms country club, at a
site operated by the City of Stamford.  This site houses a good portion of
their trunking radio systems, and is equipped with an extremely large UPS
and also I believe an emergency generator.  

It would take quite a lot to knock out power there.

Our back-up site is at Stamford Hospital.  I *think* we are on the generator
there.  This site can be brought on line if needed using remote commands.

Folks,

Is/are the Stamford repeater/s on emergency power?
If on UPS how long would you (gu)estimate the batteries would last in a
traffic handling situation? Are you planning to post a repeater usage
procedure in case batteries have to become the power source?
