I have to agree about the Honda generators.  I'm happy to spend the 
extra if it means that the generator runs when I need it to run.  I have 
an EU2000i and ran it for 4 days straight during the recent power 
outage.  It is super quiet and reliable.  Mayberry (which advertises in 
QST) has a ham price of $879 for these.  Stamford Motorsports on 
Greenwich Ave has parts for these and can service them if you don't want 
to.  (Their purchase prices are quite a bit higher than Mayberry's, though.)
