Jon-

Those are amazing statistics! (You have a future as an ESPN analyst!)

[For all those on the list... the following paragraph is stated tongue
in check... No offense is meant... this is humor.. maybe not good
humor... but humor all the same...]

Have you considered that perhaps in our club, the young guys might
have actual jobs that require them to be at work 9-5 M-F (not
"consultants" or "retired")... or that the "older" operators might
have a bit more trouble discerning QRMs from QSOs? :)

In all seriousness, kodus to the club. We all know that ham radio had
the reputation of being "just a bunch of old fuddy duddies" and these
stats DISprove it. If we keep up the ratio change of older men to
younger people including women over the next year, we might be able to
give the 55+ crowd a year of of physical labor!

What did /I/ notice during FD? That, for the most part, the "older"
group was enjoying working with the younger group and, especially, the
newbies. It brightened my day and up my spirits when I would walk "up
the hill" and see those guys sitting around chatting among themselves.
 Honestly.

So, Jon, can I request one more stat? What percentage of club members
participated IN ANY WAY in FD? I think /that/ is a stat we need to
really work on increasing for next year.

PS: FWIW, it makes me feel good that I'm considered a young guy!
