Ahhhhh ... why does the reflector lose all my formatting??? Trying it again so it's readable
I've been analyzing our logs from Field Day and discovered a couple of interesting statistics:
Just over 52% of our non-GOTA QSOs came from operators under 40 yrs old
Another 27%+ of the non-GOTA QSOs came from operators aged between 40 and 49
Well over 60% of our GOTA QSOs came from women
About 100% of the site setup and about 80% of the site breakdown was conducted by operators 55 and over, with most of the humping of the beam done by a ham in his mid-50s and another in his mid-70s
So in other words, in our club the old guys do all the physical work and the young guys sit around chatting on the radio.
Seriously, those are some pretty good statistics regarding participation by age and sex. We might just have the youngest operator base in all of CT, if not all of New England.
