[CTSARA] General and the bands

I figured it was better to start a new thread for this.
General Ticket:
I think another hinderance to getting on HF besides antennas are the
price point of the rigs. Yes that can be said for just about any of
the other bands as well, but it seems HF gear is the killer. Might be
a good reason to run QRP. I thought the General test wasn't that bad.

VHF and up:
So we have HF enthusiasts, what about VHF? Packet? 900? Amateur
paging? Bueller? Part of the reason I got my license because a legal
way to hack about the higher frequencies. Please correct me if I'm
wrong but it seems interests in other modes is pretty low. I really
glad to ham try P25 and new projects like the Microwave Engineering
