Hi all,
I like the enthusiam expressed by contesters and hope to see a good reward
for the effort made by those choosing to be involved. Personaly, contesting
leaves me cold so I have no interest in joining the fray but I am very
happy/willing to help with set-up etc and look forward to meeting up the
gang for the social side of field day. I agree we should have a proper
setup available, if we are going to compete properly we need the gear
available without the mad scramble we have had so far each time we decide
to do something. Perhaps we should have a committee meeting to discuss how
we might move forward on these proposals and how we would manage to fund
them. I'm also puzzled as to why the FT2000 is so unsuitable as to
dismissed out of hand, I was under the impression it was a reasonably good
unit and we already own one.
