[Corkradioclub] Lighthouse Activation August

Hi All

I recently received an email from Irish Lights giving permission to
the Cork Radio Club to set up an amateur radio station at the Old Head
of kinsale Lighthouse for the International Lighthouse on the air
Weekend which is held Yearly on the Third Weekend of August.

I activated this site for the same event back in 2002 and it is a
great location for radio.

ON SITE:

There is a 90FT tower which we can use & we also have the use of One
of the cottages to operate from.
There should be no hardship activating this One as we have a
cooker,fridge even a TV there.
There was beds in the past but I believe they have now been removed.

I suggest at our next Club meeting we discuss what kit we should use
for the Weekend assuming we have interest from members in this
activation.
