Hi Gents,
What about running a second station? We certainly will have enough antennas
although I'm not sure what sort of power you're planning to run with the
7400 and whether passband filters would be needed. I could bring my FT857D,
MFJ 993B autotuner and power supply if needed. I also have a light duty
folding table and some plastic chairs that we could use with the second
station and a tent that you can stand in.
Did Dave tell me that someone is bringing a caravan for shelter in case of
stormy weather? This is a very exposed headland so we need to be prepared
for bad weather. We've got permission to park a caravan at the start of the
trail which would allow room for parking two other vehicles. My generator
should be in position by early afternoon on the Friday.
What about food? Cold food for a 24-hour period won't be much fun. Do we
want to try to bring a cookstove, etc? Everyone should bring sufficient
water/other beverages plus snacks for themsleves.
