In fact, Collins had several different kits to add the 2nd crystal deck to S-Line equipment.  The only difference was the number on the new black plastic escutcheon.

I forgot to mention that the "A" and "C" versions of the S-Line often, but not always, had wide "eyebrows" over the "Preselector" or "Exciter Tune" controls.

There was a Collins kit for that modification, probably used the factory 
to fill the A order.

I'll get the two manuals that are 6 years apart together next week and 
see what the differences are if there are any.
