Also try rocking those tubes in their sockets, cleaning the pins of the tubes, i.e. by dipping in TarnX or Goddard's Silver Dip, or cleaning the tube socket connectors.

Also, tighten the tube socket connectors by inserting an Xacto knife #11 blade between the plastic of the socket and the connector.

Check tubes V-1 (first and second audio amp), V-2 (audio cathode follower) and V-3 (i-f amp).  The 32S-3 will work FB on cw even if those tubes are bad.

Another thing to check, if tubes are good, is the coupling cap between V-2 and the balanced modulator.

I went to fire up my old Collins S line the other day and although the TX tunes well, when I went to the SSB mode and keyed the mike, I hear the relay as normal, but no audio on my scope or power output. CW, no problem.

Any ideas? Once before this happened intermittently, but once and warmed up for a while, it resolved itself. Not this time.
