I recently "discovered" a source for line switches of the type used on the
rear of potentiometers---incandescant dimmer switches with rotary action.
These are available for as little as $3 in discount stores and will yield
the old familiar switch which is many times a perfect replacement.
Of course the rub is you have to buy one and take the cover off to see.
