After the 75A-4 receivers started being valued depending on the serial number, Art Collins insisted that the serial numbers on the S-Line and KWM2- series equipment be "scrambled".  As such, you cannot tell when the equipment was made by the serial number nor how many units were made.  There are ways to tell when the unit was manufactured, but not using the serial number.

Did Collins combine all the S-line items together when it comes to serial numbers? I have a 312B-4 that is over 70,000. It is hard to believe they sold 70,000? Does anyone know?
