[Collins] Collins 30L-1 TRANSMITTER

In late 1954, Collins Radio Company introduced the 30L-1 TRANSMITTER (NOT the 30L-1 S-line linear) with a 4-page color advertisement in various amateur radio magazines and the 1955 ARRL Handbook.  Along with the 30L-1 transmitter, the 32W-1 SSB exciter and the 75A-4 were introduced.

Before production started, Art Collins changed the nomenclature of the 30L-1 to KWS-1 and the 32W-1 was dropped from production.  The result was that all advertising had to be changed to eliminate the 32W-1 and to change the model number to KWS-1.

A number of years ago, I had a number of copies of this advertisement reproduced for sale at a Collins event here in the Dallas, Texas, area.  I recently came across a number of these copies.
