I have put together some PTO kits for the KWM-2 rigs, this kit stabilizes the PTO to prevent shift from transmit to receive, to check if your KWM-2 has this problem, measure the B+ on the PTO if the voltage changes from transmit to receive this will solve your problem, if folks are telling you your off frequency then you will want to install this kit.
 
Kit comes with all components need for the upgrade and 8 ½ X 11 prints in color of before and after plus detailed instructions on how to install the upgrade, it is a simple project and all you need are simple hand tools a VOM and a hot soldering iron..
