[Collins] Need advice: refinishing of 51J-4

Looking for advice/opinions on Collins 51J-4.  I was thinking about refinishing both the original cabinet and front panel in a dark red color overlaid on wrinkle with white lettering.  In an alternative, I'm also thinking about refinishing the cabinet and front panel with John Deere green with Yellow lettering to match the tractor company's colors.  I'm bored with the staid company St. James Gray or black wrinkle that I've seen so (yawn) many many many times before.  I guess I'm looking for some excitement in the ol' shack. 

I know the outcome will be extremely sanitary and correct save for the non-stock colors.  Will this affect the value of them? Thanks.
