Is it a computing counter that takes in a BFO, VFO, and crystal
frequency as separate inputs, or is it a plain counter that has only one
input?

The place for a simple counter would be the transverter jack (J18), but
it won't count the SSB carrier that isn't there but because of the
nature of voice it won't give a useful result. On CW it will give a
useful result connected there but that won't be the same frequency as
the SSB carrier frequency.

If its a computing counter, the VFO is on J7 but the band crystal signal
is not on a jack. There is no handy place to pick up the BFO or crystal
frequency without digging in.
