We tried to put a pot on the crystal in the transmitter to pull it down to 456.350, but no joy. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has had the same problem with an S-Line.

A pot won't pull a crystal down in frequency. Capacitors will, but may
not move it enough.

Where did those part numbers come from? No letters in Collins part
numbers.

That would be Peterson Crystal in Council Bluffs. International Crystal
in Oklahoma City can surely supply as a custom product at a custom
price.

Inrad also carries the crystals, or did, I don't know about the latest
new owner.

There used to be crystals with those frequencies marked on the case at
Collins Surplus, obviously removed. Likely found off frequency at final
test. Lots of that material was bought by Surplus Sales of Nebraska and
priced as if new and in specification.
