I didn't find mention in the military KWM-2 manual I have downloaded.
Digging in the KWM-2 schematic in my Yellow Book, there is an external
VFO connector. That applies power and has voltages available only in
receive or transmit to allow switching. The pictures I found on line
show separate RF cables with considerable length. With the crystal
switch on the 399B-5 it has to be reachable with the lid lifted. It
might well mount on the lid like the KWM-1 noise blanker.
