That last crimp is surely the hardest to reclose.

I prefer a saw to a dremel grinder disk because the grinder disk will melt 
the aluminum. A razor saw to cut only a thin kerf should be best for a 
hand tool.

Yes, just a bead of aluminum colored epoxy to close. Its least noticeable 
when in the corner where the can top meets the larger diameter base.

The TV Atoms from Vishay Sprague are probably the best quality 
capacitors but also the largest. Some of the other vendors in Mouser 
have physically smaller capacitors that are better candidates to fit in the 
can. Note that for some sizes you can put three in parallel or 6 or 7 in 
parallel in a drum shape and fill the space more effectively than a single 
capacitor. The gang in parallel would each be a much lower value than 
needed so their parallel C adds up to that needed. 7 leaves less air than 
three.
