[Collins] Repainting an ID plate

Gee Dave, I thought everybody knew how to do that! HI HI
Here is what I did for my 390A which is a black background and natural
aluminum foreground. After removing the imperfections, paint the plate
black. After it dries completely, place it upside down on some wet 1500
grit sandpaper which is on a very flat hard surface. Rub in a figure 8
and all the black paint on the highs will be removed leaving a black
background. Remember grinding crystals?
Of course you could you could paint the background with single camel
hair but the camel would probably object.... :)
